Clay for house plants in a small package

Ideal packaging for home growers. Depending on the size of your pots and in combination with soil substrate, this expanded clay will be enough for 5-10 pots.

How expanded clay is used

First wash the expanded clay to remove dust or other particles that may have accumulated during its transport. We recommend soaking the substrate for about 20 minutes in water before use.

You can use expanded clay alone or in combination with husks, coconut chips or perlite. The presence of expanded clay contributes to excellent aeration of the root system and reduces the risk of rotting.

To achieve a good balance of moisture in the pot, use some expanded clay for a drainage layer at the bottom of the pot. This way your plants' roots will not rot from the stagnant water at the bottom of the pot and they will have better access to oxygen.

Mix the soil substrate with expanded clay in a ratio of 3:1 and fill the rest of the pot. This will improve the qualities of the substrate, providing better drainage and more oxygen.
