How to make seedlings?
1. Soak the Jiffy Pellets
- Prepare a solution of water and Formulex (5 ml per liter of water).
- Place the tablets in the solution and wait 15 minutes.
2. Prepare the seeds
- Choose fresh and quality seeds from your preferred plants.
- If the seeds require pre-treatment (soaking/stratification), follow the manufacturer's instructions.
3. Sow the seeds
- There is a ready-made hole at the top of each tablet.
- Place 1 seed (no need to cover.
4. Place the tablets in the Root It propagator
- Arrange them so that there is space for air circulation.
- Close the lid to retain heat and moisture.
5. Monitor humidity and temperature
- If you notice condensation on the lid, ventilate gently to avoid excessive moisture.
- Maintain a temperature of around 20–25 °C and humidity between 80 and 90%.
6. Water as needed.
- Check the tablets regularly and add Formulex solution when they start to dry out.
- Be careful not to overwater them – it is important that they remain moist, but not soggy.
7. Picking or transplanting
-
Once healthy young plants with 2-3 true leaves have emerged, you can transplant directly into a larger pot or into the garden. DO NOT sprinkle the Jiffy tablet - it will become part of the plant's new environment and ensure minimal stress when transplanting.
🌱 Successful transplanting!
